We have just been on a cruise to the Baltic states and had booked a private tour of St Petersburg with Guide Guru. The guide's name was Tanya and she was fantastic. We went to all of the tourist sites you can imagine, including the Heritage Museum. She took us there at 10.00 am and it was brilliant. The private tour people can get in half-an-hour before the rest of the people and so we were able to walk around the museum in relative peace and be able to see all of the famous portraits on the walls. There is work by de Vinci, Rembrant, Rubens, and loads of others. Wonderful. She also took us to the various palaces and again, she must have picked the times of the tours with perfection as we were never held up at all. I would thoroughly recommend this company to anybody who visits St Petersburg and wants a private tour. The cost of the tour included all admittance charges so you do not have to spend a penny extra if you do not want.

The highlight of our visit was the Hermitage tour, led by Yana. She is one of the best guides I have ever encountered. She had a deep knowledge of the museum and the city, and was able to share her love and attachment for her home town.!!
