Alexandria is a romantic landscape park stretching along the Gulf of Finland, east from the vast Peterhof Lower Park. 'Alexandria' park is called after Empress Alexandra, spouse of Nickolas I Romanov. Its grounds and its cozy English gothic cottage were specially designed for Empress Alexandra to spend her summer days away from St.Petersburg. Presented as a gift, it in fact became a summer residence of Nickolas' family.

Alexandria cottage still keeps the memory of its royal owners: old gothic furniture, guestbooks, porcelain settings, books, photographs ... Its gothic interior creates somewhat mysterious atmosphere and evokes the feeling of respect for its once noble owners. The park's nature is as charming and harmonious as the cottage architecture. Long pine trees, vast lawns and hills, the gulf view, and the exotic flowers and plants on the intricately designed flowerbeds. Stroll down the paths and you will see the graceful gothic capella rising above the pine and oak tree tops, a sight of mystery and enigma.
